Pelican Cays Beach

Completely remote and absolutely beautiful, Pelican Cays Beach is located on one of the many cays off the Bahamas. Anyone who takes the time to travel to Pelican Cay will likely find themselves alone on the island.

Located near the heart of the island of Great Abaco, 1.1 miles northeast of Channel Cay, Pelican Cays Beach is on the Southeast coast of the island, You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. This beach is not just a pleasant attraction, it's special in that it's one of the few quiet beaches in the Bahamas. While Pelican Cays Beach might be a little bit out of the way, it offers unparalleled relaxation opportunities.

How to Access The Beach
If you wish to get to Pelican Cay Beach, you will either need a boat or seaplane, so unless you are bringing your own, you will need to talk to one of the many charters in the area.

Amenities and Ambiance

This natural beach is just the beginning of an uninhabited island which offers plenty of room for exploration. However, turning around and facing the water is reason enough to stay, as the blue water and views of other remote islands off in the distance is one of the best in the Bahamas.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Fortunately, the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring your equipment if you want to see what lies beneath the surface.

If you find that you enjoy beaches which provide an angelic place to escape, then you may want to try Pelican Cays Beach; it's back within a more rural sector of the region.
