Used mainly for surfing, this urban beach is a great place for a quick trip to the shore. With nothing but a straight shot to the ocean, Bridges Beach is best for those looking for a hassle free beach.
Situated in downtown Aguadilla, Bridges Beach is on the West coast of Puerto Rico. You should think about stopping by regardless of whether you're staying particularly close by. If activity and variety isn't your thing, you'll be glad that most of Puerto Rico's beaches are quite calm and serene. This atmosphere is not for everyone, though. If you seek a fun and active spot, you're better off visiting Bridges Beach, one of the few beaches that draws a significant crowd.
Backed by the city of Aguadilla, Bridges Beach is not the place to go for quiet privacy. Indeed, the atmosphere here is quite exciting as surfers head out and fight the waves. Non-surfers might not find much to do here, as a somewhat rocky shoreline can make swimming uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.
You should remember that the area right around Bridges Beach is rather congested, so plan accordingly.

The closest town is Aguadilla, which is in an area with plenty of worthwhile sites, while still remaining less developed and congested as some other places. From the beach, Aguadilla is a quick trip away, about a half mile (three quarters of a kilometer).
How many other people you encounter at Bridges Beach will depend on many factors, including the capacity of nearby hotels. This beach is not near many large hotels, but it can attract guests staying at some of the smaller accommodations in the area.

There are plenty of beautiful beach locations to choose from in Puerto Rico, so if Bridges Beach doesn't suit you, you can still find a great spot.
You may also want to try The Shacks, which is generally a pretty popular beach. It is located three and a half miles to the north. However, if you're looking to enjoy a quieter scene, School Yard Beach is a location removed from some more heavily-traveled spots. You'll find it just a little ways away.
