Located on Puerto Rico's northwest coast, Crashboat Beach (or, Playa Crashboat) is a favorite amongst watersports enthusiasts. The surf is variable with a tendency to get nasty, making it a challenge to endure for less experienced swimmers, but fun for those on motorized equipment. Off shore, scuba diving is popular in the deeper water.
Crash Boat is great for surfing and swimming, thanks sections of the beach which experience different currents. Snorkeling is also great here, and to top it off, it may well be the most photographed beach in town.
Businesses selling watersports equipment, food kiosks, restrooms, and showers make up the facilities here, and there is even designated parking for the beach. It does get busy on weekends, but it is easy to see why.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. Crashboat Beach mainly attracts water sports enthusiasts and there usually aren't any crowds.
