If you are done with the sun, plunge below the water for a scuba adventure with Akumal Dive Center. With over 30 years of experience in the dive industry, there is no better choice for dive instruction and guided tours.
Akumal Dive offers three daily dive times. The 90 foot dive leaves at 9:00 a.m., the 60 foot dive leaves at 11:00 a.m., and the 40 foot dive leaves at 2:30 p.m. They only offer one tank dives, but it is their specialty dives to cenotes and wrecks that are most popular among experienced divers.
Even kids as young as eight can begin their scuba training, with the Bubble Maker course in the pool for $67(USD). Adults will begin with the three hour Resort Course for $103(USD), where they will spend time learning in the pool and complete the day with a dive on the center's very own reef. Those who hope to advance their knowledge can take PADI certification courses for between $297 and $600(USD).
You can sign up for one dive at $40, two for $68, four for $130, six for $170, and 10 for $260(USD). Night dives are $55, and specialty dives are $70(USD) a piece.
