Playa Akumal

Playa Akumal is located in the town of Akumal between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The beach is considered to be one of the best around, and features a number of facilities. Snorkeling, fishing, sailing, and sun bathing are all popular pastimes.

Located near the heart of Akumal, Playa Akumal is on the East coast of Mexico. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. If hustle and bustle isn't your style, you'll appreciate that most of Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean's beaches are quite calm and serene. Then again, if you'd rather not visit an empty, untouched part of the coast, you're probably better suited for one of the few lively beaches, like Playa Akumal.

How to Access The Beach
After exiting off Caretta Federal 307, your drive to the coast and to Playa Akual will be a short one, mostly through a residential part of town.
