What to Expect

While the original structures are not well defined due to the site’s age, you will walk among ancient artifacts of pottery, conch shells and shells used for jewelry. This is a self-guided tour, so you are free to roam the premises at your own pace. Guides can be arranged.

A quarter of a mile boardwalk takes you to the forested site. You may have the occasional animal encounter. The remote location within a mangrove marsh location can ensure that you want to bring bug spray and be properly clothed for protection.

They are open Monday through Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The last entry is at 3 p.m.


Non-residents pay $10 USD per adult and $5 USD per child age 6-12 or Belizean resident. Children under age 5 are not recommended to visit.
