Regardless of which airport you choose to fly into, your first order of business will be to make a connecting flight at the Lynden Pindling International Airport on New Providence Island. It takes around 15 minutes from New Providence Island.
Andros, which is actually a series of three main islands and a few islets and cays, is 2,300 square miles in area, so it makes sense that there would be four different airports serving the island. Strategically placed, mostly along the east coast, these airports are small facilities with minimal extras. Unfortunately, two of them only accept charter planes.
Other than short hops from Lynden Pindling International Airport, no direct flights regularly come into Andros Island. Even then, only Western Air provides regular service – to two of the four airports. This means you should book early and, if you must fly, plan your vacation for areas around the two airports: Congo Town Airport and San Andros Airport. The other two airports on the island only receive charter planes, which is an option for anyone already in the Caribbean or South Florida. Still for most people, Congo Town and San Andros Airports are the only options.

Once you land, it is suggested that you make ground transportation arrangements right at the airport. Taxi and rental car services are limited on the island, and it is best to set things up where they are most likely to be.
With multiple airports through Andros, tourists have options when it comes to flying to the island. Make sure to review the location of the airport with regards to where you'll be staying or where the bulk of the activities you'll be participating in are located to prevent even more unplanned for travel time and you should have no trouble when you choose to fly to your Andros vacation.
