Shallow waters are perfect for casual swimming and snorkeling, with a 50-foot walkout into the clear blue ocean. Occasional local beach bars and restaurants dot what is a largely quiet island that emphasizes an unspoiled beach life.

Located just outside the heart of the island of Anegada, 1.4 miles north of The Settlement, Loblolly Bay is on the North West coast of the island, You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. There are plenty of advantages to visiting a beach that isn't surrounded by thousands of hotel rooms; beaches less-traveled like Loblolly Bay make great places to spread out and relax.

How to Access The Beach

Access to the beach is provided by the few roads on the island, which extends from the airport. Signage is provided, but guests should travel toward the Big Bamboo Bar and Restaurant, which lies directly on the beach.

The beach offers more than nine miles of stretch of white, soft sand and is surrounded by light tropical shrubbery and seagrapes, which provide excellent shade. Calm turquoise waters make for exquisite swimming and snorkeling, though the extensive stretch of shallow ocean is perfect for simply lounging about.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so purchase or rent some gear if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life.
