Set in Sandy Hill Bay, in the general vicinity of East End, this beach is on the East edge of Anguilla. You might want to drop by even if you are not staying in the vicinity. Visitors will find that, although Sandy Hill is by no means secluded, it's not the most crowded beach in Anguilla either. This makes it an excellent choice for those of you who want to visit a somewhat lively beach but also want to skip out on the crowds.

Amenities and Ambiance

Sandy Hill is a small, narrow beach located between The Valley and Junk's Hole. The beach has no hotels or restaurants and no signage to help you find it. It is a protected harbor for local fisherman and often locals will be the only visitors to the beach. While parts of it have velvet soft sand, a majority of the beach is pretty rocky. It's great for snorkeling, though.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy some food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up at this spot.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. Primarily a residential and commercial fishing area, you probably won't find many tourists at Sandy Hill. Visitors who appreciate the hospitality of locals and native culture will enjoy this charming beach.
