Shoal Bay Scuba

Shoal Bay Scuba is so well-recommended that they now have two locations in order to serve the high volume of customers with the high level of care and safety they expect. Shoal Bay Scuba is locally owned and the island's only full-service PADI dive resort which specializes in both courses and actual dives.

Cost and Offerings

Shoal Bay Scuba is a full service organization, offering everything from PADI certification courses to week-long dive adventures and even equipment rentals. The staff is full certified to help you learn and grow as well as safely complete all of the scuba diving tasks you desire. Those heading out on dives will have the opportunity to check out six different wreck sites, coral reef, and five wall dive locations.

Daily dives with Shoal Bay Scuba range in price $50 for a one tank boat dive to $140(USD) for a Nitrox two tank boat dive. Night dives are available from $70 to $90, and you can also sign up for half day snorkeling trips for $25(USD).

A number of certification courses are also available including Discover Scuba for $85, PADI Open Water Certification for $375, Advanced Certification for $350 and Recue Diver Certificatio for $400(USD).

What to Expect

There are two boats in the Shoal Bay Scuba family. Lady Lou was custom built by Rebel Marine specifically for diving and snorkeling local waters. The boat seats 12 and has a deep water ladder, fresh water shower, and all of the necessary safety equipment. The Thomas B, meanwhile, is a 28 foot fiberglass PANGA designed for offshore fishing. Six passengers and two crew fit comfortably aboard, and it has been customized for diving.

In order to dive, all guests must show proof of certification. This means you may have to sign up for one of Shoal Bay's certification courses before embarking on a true dive.
