Built in 1796, the British hoped that this fort would help protect the island from the French and other enemies, which it successfully did. Visitors to the site will be able to explore the old rooms and take in the breathtaking views from the position.
The fort is mainly in ruins, and is not maintained that well. However, some say that just gives it personality. Nonetheless, this is still a standing example of the military importance that the Caribbean, and Anguilla played ever since the first voyages.
