Many travelers visit the Caribbean with a bucket list of activities, ranging from windsurfing to sampling new cuisines. For some travelers, the ultimate vacation experience is enjoying a day out on the greens at a golf course. Guests of Antigua will find that although the island only houses a pair of golfing facilities, these establishments have compensated for their quantitative lack with quality and convenience.

Local Golf Courses

Despite only hosting two golf courses, the island of Antigua is a great destination for travelers looking to spend some time teeing off during their next Caribbean getaway. Between the sophisticated Cedar Valley Golf Course and the convenient Jolly Harbour Golf Course, vacationers are sure to find their ideal golfing facility. Basking in the Caribbean sunshine while partaking in an invigorating activity is a great way to create lasting memories.

Greens fees are less than $100, including golf cart rentals, which makes a trip to Jolly Harbour an attainable activity for travelers on a budget. Many nearby rental villas offer discounted greens fees for their guests.

Cedar Valley Golf Club

Situated just north of the charming St. John’s area, the Cedar Valley Golf Club in Friary’s Hill is an excellent option for those seeking a fulfilling golf excursion while vacationing in Antigua. It is the island’s sole championship course, making it an attractive option for more experienced players. Designed by Richard Aldridge, this course offers 18 holes on 6,157 yards of property, as well as a driving range and putting green.
