Positioned on the island of Antigua, You might want regardless of whether you are staying in the vicinity. Great Deep Bay Beach stands out because it's perfect for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Other nearby beaches in Antigua may be just as breezy and refreshing, but are usually more cramped since they're right in the thick of tourists' favorite hangouts.
One of the things preventing the beach from getting even more crowded is the drive. Drivers will need to head out of Freetown east, following the road until it gets to Great Deep Bay. While it is generally maintained, it is a decently long drive further and further away from the main tourist areas of the island.

You'll find the waters off-shore to be fit for snorkeling, so grab your equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.
The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the South East coast of Antigua; it's located near attractions like Harmony Hall Gallery, which is a mile and a half to the northwest.
