Green Island Beach

One of the many small islands off the Antiguan coast, Green isle is a privately owned island, which has belonged to the Mill Reef club since 1947. If you visit, you will discover several beautiful, secluded beaches. Snorkeling is great right offshore, so be sure to bring your mask and fins.

Located on Green Island, this beach is on the West coast of the island, You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you are staying particularly close by. This beach is not just another beautiful natural attraction, it is one of the more unique and quiet beaches in Antigua. While Green Island Beach may be a little harder to reach, it's the best place to take an undisturbed nap on the sand.

You can only reach Green Island by boat, but many charter services from Antigua make frequent visits here.

Amenities and Ambiance

This island is a popular stop for many sea charter boats and tours. There are a few strips of velvet soft white sand with a backdrop of lush foliage. It's isolated and calm, a true paradise.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. You will find the water here is fit for snorkeling, so grab your gear if you want to see the underwater world.

If you tend to choose beaches which offer those who visit a quiet place to escape, then think about trying out Green Island Beach; it is located in a more natural sector of Green Island.

Travelers will find Green Island Beach on the West coast of Green Island. It is near some interesting sites like Harmony Hall Gallery, which is found two miles away, and it is one of a few attractions close-by.

To some, beaches and museums may seem an odd combination, but plenty of visitors find that museums like Betty's Hope (one of the closest to Green Island Beach) offer an entertaining diversion and a whole new way to view Antigua's traditions and culture.

The closest city to Green Island Beach is Willikies, which is a fairly rural area, but it will be a pleasant day trip for visitors looking to check out the local scene.

The mood here——social and lively, or virtually empty—— will depend on if you visit during a popular season, which is often indicated by how busy the hotels are. The beach is not located close to many large hotels, but it's sometimes enjoyed by guests staying at some of the area's smaller options.

Needless to say, there are other beaches on Green Island besides Green Island Beach worth visiting.

If you like the ambiance at this beach, you might also like Nonsuch Bay South, found two miles away. On the other hand, Green Bay Beach offers more action, and is closer to additional things to do and see nearby.

Another location you may want to try is Green Bay Isthmus Beach, located three quarters of a mile to the south west.

While Antigua has many alluring attractions, a trip to Green Island Beach could end up a family favorite.
