Jabberwock Beach is a breezy beach, great for windsurfing and kite surfing. This beach is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Located on the northern side of the island of Antigua, near St. John's, You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying very close. Travelers looking for a spot that's a little out of the way, but still active, may really like the middle ground found at Jabberwock. Generally, it's not an overly popular part of the coast, but it's not totally secluded either.

How to Access The Beach
Close to the airport and easily accessible, this Northeast beach is a popular spot on Shoal Bay. Take Jabberwock Road towards the Northeast corner of the island.

Amenities and Ambiance

On this beach the surf is rougher than some more Southwesterly beaches but it's still safe for swimming and strolling down the strip of soft sand. Close to accommodations, restaurants and shops, it's a convenient beach without the cramping of buildings on the beach itself.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Visitors will find this beach on the North coast of Antigua; it's located near attractions like Stanford Cricket Ground, which is a mile and a half away.

Needless to say, Jabberwock isn't the only beach worth visitng in Antigua.

Travelers who like this beach might also enjoy Long Island Beach West, situated two and a half miles to the east. On the other hand, Shoal Bay could provide a few more possibilities for excitement, and is closer to additional things to do and see nearby. It's found a quarter mile to the southeast.

Travelers may also want to consider Runaway Beach, which is located four miles to the west. Sugary white sand and tranquil waters distinguish Antigua's Runaway Beach. A popular spot for vacationers, the beach is located next door to another popular beach area, Dickinson's Bay. Visitors to Runaway Beach will enjoy its sparkling blue water and fantastic sunsets.

Jabberwock could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; in which case you should keep looking for a beach or natural attraction that suits your vacation style.
