Pinching Bay

Quiet and undeveloped, Pinching Bay is an island oasis. There is nothing here but sun, sand and sea.

Located in the western part of Five Islands, near St. John's, Pinching Bay is on the West edge of Antigua. You should consider dropping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. Pinching Bay stands out from other beaches because it's one of the best spots for getting away from vacation stresses, like overly crowded restaurants and attractions. Many of the other beaches in Antigua may provide just as many amenities as Pinching Bay, but tend to be busier since they're near some of the most popular hotels.

How to Access The Beach
This beach is almost due west of St. John's and very isolated. A dirt road does lead to this quiet beach, but you'll need four wheel drive.

Amenities and Ambiance

Bordered by mangrove and sea-grape on one side and a deep blue ocean on the other, Pinching Bay is a soft sand beach, one of the few left on the island not claimed by resorts, casinos or big name attractions. It's untouched beauty is utterly relaxing.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.
