1 | Fontein Caves
Fontein Cave is not only a unique natural attraction in Aruba, but it is an important part of history. Cave drawings and other artifacts that have been found over the years give scientists a clue that the native Arawak Indians once performed tribal rituals in this spot.
From the center of Butucu, go approximately a mile and a half (approximately two and a half kilometers) north to get to this cave.

The ruins of an old gold mill, the old site today is a frequent stop for visitors exploring the area. However, there is little here other than the ruins, so you may need a guide or some background knowledge if you were hoping for historical context.

Located on the property of the Arikok National Park, Guadirikiri Caves are fabled to be the spot where two lovers burst through the rocks to create the two domed entrances, and flew to heaven. Though fascinating, many guests find it hard to believe that this dark and gritty spot is the site of anything so romantic.
Situated within driving range from Oranjestad, this cave is a little more than a mile (approximately two kilometers) northeast of the center of Butucu.

The Golf Club is located on the western part of the island, and is somewhat isolated from more heavily touristed areas. This quirky golf course is the oldest on the island, and is full of charm.
Visitors can find this golf course within driving distance of Oranjestad, two miles (three kilometers) to the east-northeast of the center of San Nicolas.

Ostriches may not be what comes to mind when one thinks of Aruba, but the Aruba Ostrich Adventure nonetheless is home to a number of ostrich that guests come from all over the island to see. While it may not be the "natural Aruba" it is still an interesting sight to see.

Before cars became the main source of transportation in Aruba, donkeys were brought to the island to serve such a purpose. As motorized vehicles became more prevalent, the need for donkeys decreased, and their care did as well.
This nature sanctuary/wildlife reserve is situated 5.0 miles (8.0 km) to the east of the center of Oranjestad, and is on Sta Lucia 4a.
