A small town south of Santo Domingo, Bani remains relatively untouched by the tourism bug. Most people who are intrigued by the town will make a day trip to see such sites as the Bani Dunes or taste some of the most flavorful fruit during the annual Mango Festival. The major activity that tourists do stay to participate in is fishing, though locals use this sport as a main source of income rather than entertainment.
