Backed by the ruins of a plantation on a cliff side and a smattering of coconut palms, Harrismith Beach has a historic appeal that draws many visitors for an afternoon picnic on the soft white sand. The beach is protected by a offshore reef, which also promoted a bit of an undertow. Yet, close to shore, there clear shallow waters are perfect for dining sea sponges and other marine life.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.
