Skeetes Bay offers great swimming with the area's light waves and wonderful views of the overlooking cliffs. The area is fairly quiet, though it operates as a local fishing area for the community.
Located on the eastern edge of Whitehaven, 1.7 miles northwest of Coles Pasture, Skeetes Bay is on the East edge of Barbados. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. The beach is accessible to pedestrians and vehicles via local roads off of Highway 4B. Local signs will point you in the right direction, but keep an eye out for the Wishing Well bar, which is close to the entrance.
Skeetes Bay can be found off the southeast coast of the island and features an ideal swimming location thanks to the bay water. Dramatic cliffs with lush foliage provide an excellent backdrop for the beach, while the turquoise waters ensure a wonderful photo opportunity. South of the Bay is Culpepper Island and Ragged Point lighthouse.
Restrooms are available at Skeetes Bay. Shower facilities are available, so you can clean off the sand before hitting more attractions. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear and good for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some gear if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life.
the region in which Skeetes Bay is located is not near many tourist spots. Taking that into consideration, fighting to obtain an available comfort here is not something you will have to go through when arriving at the beach, regardless of what time of the day you get there.
This beach is positioned on Barbados' East coast. It is close to, which is not far from away. Some will choose to walk here, while others will want to take a taxi, and it is among the attractions in the region.

Bathsheba is the closest town and is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested. From the shore, Bathsheba is located roughly six miles (nine and a half kilometers) away.
The number of other people sharing spots in the sand can vary widely, it depends on several things: the season, the weather, even how packed the nearby hotels are. Skeetes Bay is not near very many major hotels, but you may meet visitors staying at some of the smaller accommodations in the area.
