Protected on all sides by barrier reefs, the smooth coast of Barbuda is miles upon miles of untouched deserted beaches where you can easily walk for miles without running into another beach-goer. This is especially true between Spanish Point and Palmetto Point, which is eight miles of pink sand beaches and calm waters. Along the Atlantic coast is where you'll find the waters that are slightly more rough and favored by surfers.
You'll discover several beaches to choose from on the island. Snorkeling is available at several locations, for vacationers who enjoy this relaxing pastime. To read a detailed article concerning a specific beach just click on the names of the ones you're interested in.
Goat Point: Almost too small to be called a cape, Goat Point has a very long stretch of white sugar sand along the coast, with interesting foliage and paths inland. It's far from where most of the development is on the island and you're sure to attune yourself to the natural beauty of the Caribbean here.
A second place to consider is Coco Point. Coco Point Lodge Resort claims a lot of the land on this beach but you can visit the beach even if you're not a guest of the Lodge. The beach is accessible by road, just stay West of the air strip that rests above the beach.
Palmetto Point: Famous for it's pink sand and popular with boaters, Palmetto Point is the southernmost tip of Barbuda.
