Spanish Point

Spanish Point is the south easternmost point of Barbuda, named for a shipwrecked Spanish vessel that ran aground here in 1695. It's famous for it's beautiful coral reefs.

Located on the southeastern coast of the island of Barbuda, You might want even if you aren't staying nearby. This beach is not just another beautiful natural attraction, it's one of the rare "quiet" beaches in Antigua. While Spanish Point may be a little more trouble to reach, it's the best place to take an undisturbed nap on the sand.

A skinny stretch of sand on isolated Barbuda, Spanish Point is a truly secluded beach experience. The ocean floor is dotted with amazing coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling. The beach is long though and plenty of ocean bed is clear for safe swimming.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

If you find that you prefer beaches which offer visitors an angelic experience, then you may want to try Spanish Point; it is tucked away within a more natural section of the region.
