If you are looking to do some sight-seeing, visit Aqueduc et Réservoir de Petite Guinée. It is located in western Basse Terre. Built in the early part of the 18th century, these water works were built from stone and formed an aqueduct, reservoir, and circular pool. A simple arch and a vaulted tank with a gable roof make up the site which is a nice stop for those interested in architecture.
Another interesting landmark worth visiting is Résidence Arsenal. It is located in western Basse Terre. In its life span of over 300 years, this property has been a Jesuit Monestary, an artillery barracks, and a residential community. There is a lot of history here, and tourists are welcome to walk through and see it for themselves.
