From Round House Inn, go eight miles (12 and a half kilometers) west to reach this beach.

1 | Little Bay

Set in the northernmost parish of St. Lucy, Little Bay is a quiet little beach that tends to remain unoccupied unless a tour group stops by. Those looking for an undeveloped spot to get away from the crowds will find it here.

From Round House Inn, go seven and a half miles (12 kilometers) to the north-northwest to reach this beach.

2 | Cove Bay

Cove Bay, located on the northeastern coast of the island, provides a picnic-worthy spot far removed from development or the hustle of the city. The beach itself is small and difficult to get to and requires some hiking experience.

Found on the eastern outskirts of St. Lucy Parish, this beach is only 0.7 miles (1.2 km) from Little Bay.

3 | Barbados Wildlife Reserve

Come see the natural Barbados, the one void of hotels, restaurants, and malls. Here at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, you will be able to catch glimpses at the native animals of the island, including monkeys, as they go about their day.

Situated on Farley Hill , this nature sanctuary/wildlife reserve is 5.8 miles (9.4 km) to the northwest of Round House Inn.

4 | Grenade Hall Forest Signal Station

Long before cell phones and the Internet, the people of Barbados used signal towers to warn groups of people across the island of any dangers that lurked in the area. Grenada Hall is one such signal station, which now stands as a landmark where visitors can learn about the island's military history.

Situated in St. Andrew Parish, this historical site is about a hundred yards (a couple hundred meters) from Barbados Wildlife Reserve.

5 | St. Nicholas Abbey

Take a guided tour of the beautiful plantation house and view antiques from the home's 350 years of history. Then take a self-guided tour of the grounds, including the rum distillery where St. Nicholas Abbey Rum is produced.

This museum is located on the eastern outskirts of St. Peter Parish, and is 0.7 miles (1.2 km) from Grenade Hall Forest Signal Station.

6 | Farley Hill

Farley Hill, because of its cooling tree cover, well maintained property, and eye-catching scenery, is well loved in Barbados for special events and even just a picnic with family and friends. Guests staying on the island will find this a nice place to relax and explore some historic ruins.

If you are coming from St. Nicholas Abbey, go about a mile (approximately a kilometer and a half) to the south-southeast to get to this nature sanctuary/wildlife reserve.

7 | Morgan Lewis Sugar Mill

One of only two entirely intact and restored sugar mills in the entirety of the Caribbean is located on Barbados. That sugar mill is called Morgan Lewis.

This historical site is located less than a mile from Farley Hill, and is in St. Andrew Parish.

9 | Lakes Beach

Not as developed as some of its west coast counterparts, Lakes Beach is a quiet locale to choose for a day of lounging on the beach, but trying to swim there is not recommended.

This beach is located two miles (three and a half kilometers) to the northwest of Round House Inn.

10 | Barclays Park

Barclays Park Beach is spread across the east coast of the island, offering an incredible view of the dramatic eastern coastline. Largely free of amenities, the beach provides visitors with undeveloped beauty and a sense of history, as it was a gift from the UK to celebrate the independence of Barbados.

Go a quarter mile (a half kilometer) from Lakes Beach to get to this beach.

11 | Cattlewash Beach

Cattlewash Beach, a long stretch of dark tan sand on the east coast of the island, features rugged cliffs and active waves that make for excellent surfing or a relaxing tanning spot. Casual swimming is discouraged, as the waves from the Atlantic make for strong currents, though the area contains rock pools for bathing.

This beach can be found near the heart of St. Joseph Parish, less than a mile from Barclays Park Beach.

22 | Apes Hill Club

This championship golf course features views of both the West and East coasts of Barbados. It's situated just outside of the nature preserves that are in the center of the island, and works remarkably well with the undulating landscape of the region.

This golf course can be found on Apes Hill, and is 5.2 miles (8.3 km) west of Round House Inn.

23 | Bathsheba Beach

Bathsheba Beach is positioned on the stunningly beautiful east coast of the island, offering visitors incredible rock formations and excellent views of the hills. The rugged waves are ideal for advanced surfing, while those looking for a simple swim should stick to the inshore pools.

Make your way a few hundred yards (a quarter kilometer) from Round House Inn to find this beach.

24 | Andromeda Botanical Gardens

Once a private estate, the Andromeda Botanical Gardens are now open to the public so that all may take in the wonderful sights and explore the extensive grounds. Visitors are sure to enjoy the many plants, flowers, and trees, as well as the equally beautiful birds that make the gardens their home.

Found on the southeastern outskirts of Bathsheba, this botanical garden is located just 0.6 miles (1.0 km) southeast of Bathsheba Beach.

25 | Country Club Course

The Golf Club was renovated recently and now houses a total of 44 holes spread between three separate courses, all of which provide golfers with very distinct experiences. The availability of three different courses allows golfers of varying skill levels and handicaps to enjoy their outing here.

This golf course is located seven miles (11 kilometers) west-southwest of Round House Inn, and is within Sandy Lane Hotel.

26 | Hutson Sugar Museum

Sugar production has historically been one of the greatest outputs in the Caribbean. The Hutson Sugar Museum examines this phenomenon through exhibits with educational facts and relics from the sugar production industry.

This museum can be found on Highway 2A, and is less than a mile north of Sandy Lane Country Club Golf Course.

27 | Green Monkey Golf

The Sandy Lane Golf Club was recently renovated and now offers a total of 44 holes spread between three separate courses, all of which provide golfers with very distinct experiences. The Green Monkey is probably the most famous of the three, and features a number of elevation changes and water hazards which add to the challenge.

This golf course is on the premises of Sandy Lane Hotel, and is one and a quarter miles (two kilometers) south of Sir Frank Hutson Sugar Museum.

33 | St. John's Church

Featuring classic Gothic architecture, the St. John's parish church was built in 1831 to replace the previous church which had been destroyed by a hurricane -- a theme you see a lot with the churches on Barbados.

Make your way 2.7 miles (4.4 km) to the southeast from Round House Inn to find this historical site, which is located in the heart of St. John Parish.

31 | Hunte's Garden

These private gardens are the pride and joy of owner Anthony Hunte. He invites guests to come and walk his very large garden.

Situated on the eastern edge of St. Thomas Parish, this botanical garden is two and a half miles (three and a half kilometers) to the south west of Round House Inn.

32 | Cotton Tower Signal

Back in the 19th century the Barbados military utilized a series of signal stations to give island wide warning when a threat would occur. They were built on highly elevated ground both so that the military officers would have a good view of the surrounding area as they stood watch, and so that others would see their signals.

If you are coming from Hunte's Garden, go less than a mile (a kilometer and a half) east-northeast to find this historical site.

12 | High Tide Watersports

Known especially as one of the top dive centers on the island, High Tide Watersports is also extremely well-equipped to handle all of your watersports needs. Whether you want to rent equipment, learn a new sport, or participate in a tour, this is the spot for you.

This watersports operator is located on the coast, and is 7.9 miles (12.7 km) to the west of Round House Inn.

13 | Holetown Beach

Holetown Beach is a lively place to spend a beach day when you're looking for a fun vibe and bustling atmosphere.

This beach can be found 0.7 miles (1.1 km) from High Tide Watersports.

14 | Folkstone Dive

From Holetown Beach, this dive site can be found offshore, less than a mile to the South.

15 | Folkstone Museum

Learn about the marine flora and fauna of the area and then enjoy a snorkeling expedition on an artificial reef formed by a sunken ship.

This museum is on the premises of Folkstone Marine Park.

16 | St. James Church

One of the four oldest churches in Barbados, St. James Church is a favorite spot amongst tourists due to its location near the island's first settlement.

This historical site is a couple hundred yards (a few hundred meters) from Folkstone Museum, and is on the same premises as St. James Parish Church.

17 | Holetown Monument

In honor of the first English landing in Barbados, which took place in 1625 by Captain John Powell, the Holetown Monument was erected. A well recognized landmark in Holetown, each year the opening celebrations for the annual Holetown Festival take place here.

From St. James Church, go a quarter mile (a half kilometer) to the south to locate this monument.

The golf course at Royal Westmoreland is members-only, and those who are lucky enough to play a round here will be rewarded with spectacular view of the Caribbean from every hole. There's a long list of celebrities who have played these holes, but it's not easy for most people to get a game at this exclusive course.

You can find this golf course on the same premises as Royal Westmoreland, a mile and a half (two and a half kilometers) to the north-northeast of Playcreation.

28 | Welchman Hall Gully

With hiking, historic and cultural significance, and an abundance of nature, Welchman Hall Gulley is a well-rounded attractions that tourists short on time for sightseeing won't want to miss out on.

This park is situated in Welchman Hall, four miles (six and a half kilometers) west-southwest of Round House Inn.

29 | Harrison's Cave

Naturally made caves have a certain air of mystery, and are certainly fascinating. Harrison's Cave is one such attraction.

Travel east for a half mile (three quarters of a kilometer) from Welchman Hall Gully to get to this cave.

30 | Flower Forest

Flower Forest is a botanical garden in the Scotland district on the island of Barbados that has been designated to prevent further development and preserve the well-cared for flora of the island.

This café is on St. Thomas Parish, and is three quarters of a mile (one and a quarter kilometers) to the northeast of Harrison's Cave.

36 | Fisherpond Great House

If you are coming from Round House Inn, go four miles (six kilometers) to the south west to get to this historical site.

37 | Orchid World

Orchid World opened in 1998 at the behest of the then Prime Minister of Barbados, and has since then provided a lovely attraction for visitors who enjoy the chance to walk through a lush garden and see a wide variety of orchids flourishing in the warm temperatures of the island.

This botanical garden is located three quarters of a mile (a kilometer) from Fisherpond Great House, and is near the middle of St. George.

34 | Bath Beach

Bath Beach is popular amongst tourists, and tours often bring visitors here, but locals enjoy this spot as well. Especially on weekends and public holidays, you will see local residents enjoying a picnic on the beach and splashing though the waves.

Round House Inn is located four miles (six and a half kilometers) to the west-northwest of this beach.

35 | Consett Bay

Though swimming is not advised at Consett Bay, which is located along the east coast of Barbados, this is a great spot for fishing. Otherwise, tourists are often found set ashore sunning and watching the colorful fishing boats sail by.

Bath Beach is three quarters of a mile (one and a quarter kilometers) to the northwest of this beach.

41 | Gun Hill Signal Station

The most impressive and most popularly visited of the series of signal stations through Barbados, Gun Hill Signal Station in St. George was once the watch dog and warning system for the island. Should need arise during the 19th century, these signal stations were ready to warn the rest of the island of impending doom.

Make your way 5.4 miles (8.7 km) to the south-southwest from Round House Inn to reach this historical site.

38 | Skeetes Bay

Skeetes Bay offers great swimming with the area's light waves and wonderful views of the overlooking cliffs. The area is fairly quiet, though it operates as a local fishing area for the community.

This beach can be found six miles (ten kilometers) to the southeast of Round House Inn.

39 | Ragged Point

Ragged Point is more popular as the location of a lighthouse than it is as a beach, but a beach it is. Located on the south east coast of the island, it has no amenities, so arrive prepared.

Vacationers can find this beach on the northern edge of St. Philip Parish, a half mile (less than a kilometer) to the east-southeast of Skeetes Bay.

40 | Ragged Point Lighthouse

Built in 1875, this operational lighthouse has protected ships from the rocky coast for over a century.

Guests will find this lighthouse just 0.6 miles (0.9 km) from Ragged Point.

42 | St. Philip's Church

The current St. Philip's Church is the fourth incarnation of churches that have stood on this site, with the first being built prior to 1649. Rebuilt in 1786, 1831, and again in 1836, this church is part of a long religious history in St. Philip.
