Belize City is an official port of entry, which is perfect for those who want to stay in the city anyway. In order to clear customs you'll need to present four copies each of a list of the chip's stores, a crew list, and all of the boat's official documentation. Additionally, passengers and crew members will need to go through the process of clearing immigration which will mean presenting a passport and in some cases a visa. After taking care of the legal aspect of sailing to Belize City, you'll be allowed to sail about local waters for up to 90 days.
