Blue Creek Cave is popular amongst tourists who want the full Maya experience. Called "Hokeb Ha" by the Maya people it was once frequented by many people of this mysterious culture.
Blue Creek Cave is a very large cave with a river running though it that goes from Santa Cruz to five miles down he way to the village of Blue Creek. Inside is a waterfall that is the major draw to the site.
Located in Orange Walk District, south-southeast of La Union, Blue Creek Cave happily welcomes vacationers lodging in this part of Belize. But even if you aren't staying nearby, you are free to stop by for some fun in the sun. If you're curious, Orange Walk is to the northeast.
There are some other attractions nearby, including La Milpa, which is within driving range in Orange Walk District. Furthermore, you can think about heading to Rio Bravo Conservation and Management, which is another attraction close by.
