Activities and Amenities

Bocawina takes full advantage of its eco-location with a variety of tours and adventures that guests can partake in. As mentioned, their famous zip-line is a popular choice, but there are others. With over 7100 acres of nature, the surrounding Mayflower Bocawina National Park is dotted with waterfalls, old Maya sites, and hiking trails that are a blast to explore. The resort guides will set up excursions for you such as jungle hikes, birding expeditions, and waterfall climbing and repelling. In addition, the resort can also set up off-site excursions such as horseback riding, trips to Maya ruins, and cave tubing.

Bocawina does have an onsite bar for guests looking for a drink or two after-hours. However, you won't want to miss the main "nightlife" event, Night Flying on the zipline and hikes through the jungle where you will be able to spot bats, owls, and in some rare hikes, large cats.

The list below gives a preview of some other amenities:

  • Pets Accepted
  • Wi Fi Internet Access
  • Hiking/Nature Walk

If you don't want any surprises upon arrival, it's a good idea to call ahead of time just in case some of the amenities vary. To find out more about the types of recreational opportunities that Bocawina Rainforest Resort offers, click here.

The Wild Fig Restaurant provides resort guests with a taste of traditional Belize and Central American Cuisine, using locally grown ingredients to make tasty dishes. In fact, much of what you will see on the plate will either be grown onsite, or grown by one of the local farmers in the region. In addition to serving all three meals of the day, the Wild Fig is also the central lounging area, and the place to go if you are looking to relax, watch TV, or play some board games.

In addition to on-location dining options, those looking for more culinary variety should also give thought to some of the region's other nearby dining selections. It's a good idea to get familiar with the nearby options, though Bocawina Rainforest Resort provides dining of its own, including The Wild Fig Restaurant.
