Honey Camp Lagoon

Honey Camp Lagoon is known mostly by locals who visit when they are need of a day of relaxation. The waters here are said to ease tension and rejuvenate the mind, offering a much needed break for those who haven't been feeling quite like themselves. t

The area surrounding the lagoon is mostly overgrown and undeveloped, featuring coconut trees and white silt sand, giving some parts a beach-like appearance.

Aside from relaxing in the lagoon, there is a hidden hot spring for extra seclusion and peace. There are no snack stands, so if you're planning a picnic, you'll have to bring your own supplies.


Located in Corozal District, 13.0 miles south of Caledonia, Honey Camp Lagoon invites local customers and travelers who are lodging in this part of Belize. Even if you are not staying in the vicinity, you should consider stopping by to check out the sights. It is 8.9 miles east of Orange Walk.

It takes 45 minutes to get to Honey Camp Lagoon from Orange Walk. A sign will tell you when to turn off the highway, then you'll drive straight until another sign that reads "Welcome to Honey Camp" greets you.

Lamanai Riverside Restaurant, which has a menu full of Caribbean dishes, is very close-by, making it a great option for lagoon visitors. The restaurant is maybe about eight and a half miles from Honey Camp Lagoon, so check it out and eat up! Paniscea Restaurant and Candy's are a couple other refreshment choices near the lagoon. At Candy's you and your companions will not want to get up and go without taking a bite of their specialty, ice cream.

There are at least one or two other activities in the area, including Banquitas House of Culture, which is within traveling range in Orange Walk. Furthermore, you can consider visiting Cuello Mayan Archaeological Site, which is another attraction in the vicinity.
