Honey Camp Lagoon

Honey Camp Lagoon is known mostly by locals who visit when they are need of a day of relaxation. The waters here are said to ease tension and rejuvenate the mind, offering a much needed break for those who haven't been feeling quite like themselves. t

The area surrounding the lagoon is mostly overgrown and undeveloped, featuring coconut trees and white silt sand, giving some parts a beach-like appearance.

Aside from relaxing in the lagoon, there is a hidden hot spring for extra seclusion and peace. There are no snack stands, so if you're planning a picnic, you'll have to bring your own supplies.

Location

Honey Camp Lagoon is located 13.0 miles south of Caledonia, a village in Corozal District; it is 8.9 miles to the east of Orange Walk.

It takes 45 minutes to get to Honey Camp Lagoon from Orange Walk. A sign will tell you when to turn off the highway, then you'll drive straight until another sign that reads "Welcome to Honey Camp" greets you.

It's only about eight and a half miles away, so check it out and dig in! Also close-by, you'll have options like Paniscea Restaurant and Candy's where you and your companions should make it a point not to get up and go without taking a bite of their specialty ice cream.
