"The whole world loves Marie Sharp's." If you're interested in seeing how some of the most popular hot sauces and condiments in Belize are made, take a tour at Marie Sharp's Factory -- often led by Marie herself.

A tour of the factory takes visitors through the kitchen which is filled with huge, smoking steel pots in which the sauces and condiments are heated, to a room of huge vats where the ingredients are mixed, to the chill room where the fresh ingredients are stored, and into the factory room where everything is bottled and labeled. The tour ends with a trip to the shop where you can sample and purchase the products, including Habenero Pepper Sauce, tropical jams and jellies, fruit squashes, and seasonings at reduced prices. If you're a fan, make sure to ask to speak to Marie Sharp before you go. If she's available she is happy to come out and mingle.
