A day spent here is a great way to learn about nature in Belize, as well as relax with a swim in the cool waters of the Blue Hole.

The Blue Hole was formed when an underground limestone cave collapsed. It measures about 100 feet deep and is 300 feet in diameter, with a deep blue pool at the bottom center of the cenote.

The main attractions at St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park are St. Herman's Cave and the Blue Hole. Both can be explored on your own or with a guide, as can the 575 acres of forest that surround the attractions. Swimming, tubing, and spelunking is possible here.

St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park can be found west-northwest of Sarawina, a hamlet in the vicinity of Dangriga; it is 9.4 miles to the southeast of Belmopan.

St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park can be found on the right side of Hummingbird Highway, about 12 miles southeast of Belmopan. Parking is available, but buses that run along the highway will drop passengers off as well.
