Nature, culture, and history meet at Guanacaste National Park, where visitors can explore the interrelationships of the three and how they have had an effect on Belize.

Guanaca National Park is a small park which features a broadleaf forest where tiger cats hide in the brush.

Location

Positioned in Central Belize, south of Lamanai, Guanacaste National Park welcomes local customers and vacationers who are rooming in this area of Belize. However, even if you aren't staying particularly close, you should consider dropping by to check out the sights. If you're wondering, Belmopan is a mile and a half (two and a half kilometers) to the southeast.

RW" Guanacaste National Park is the most accessible of the Belize Audubon Society managed protected areas; located less than two miles from the capital city of Belmopan at the intersection of the Hummingbird and Western Highways. Buses will stop right outside the park.

Park visitors that work up an appetite don't need to worry -- you're going to find a great concentration of food offerings in the vicinity. The most frequented nearby eatery to Guanacaste National Park is Arch Seafood Restaurant, which has a menu full of International food.
