Nature lovers will really enjoy the secluded atmosphere of this cove for picnics, nature walks, and lounging on the shore; and although the waters can get a little rough, Astwood Cove is also a great spot for snorkeling. The more accessible Marley Beach lies to the east, guaranteeing that the area will be limited to more advance swimmers/nature lovers.

Located toward the center of Warwick Parish, Astwood Cove is on the South West coast of Bermuda. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying very close. Astwood Cove is one of those beaches that doesn't usually get packed with beachgoers, even though it's in a fairly popular area.

How to Access The Beach

The beach is accessible via a dramatic, steep path, so the area is only recommended for those that are physically able. Cars can park on the eastern side of the cove, which extends off of South Road.

Amenities and Ambiance

Astwood Cove is a small little beach tucked back off South Shore Road. The winding road is steep but it leads to a stunning haven comprised of a rocky cove and a small beach in a lush natural setting. The waters can be a rough sometimes but they are great for snorkeling. Bring along picnic supplies and walking shoes for exploring the unspoiled nature trails that border the beach.

You'll be able to use picnic tables at this beach, which are perfect for setting up your carry-out food, or just lounging under the sun.

There are public restrooms at this beach——something you'll appreciate if you bring the kids along. You'll find the waters off-shore to be of good snorkeling quality, so grab your equipment if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites. Seclusion is the main attraction at Astwood Cove. The refreshing shade from the trees at this remote beach will be your only companion as you enjoy its soft sands and sparkling waters.

However, try to be sensitive to the fact that even though visitors here find at least one or two comforts on location while at Astwood Cove, it is located inside an area popular among tourist. Unless you do not mind crowds, it's a good idea to plan your visit out for times when there are less people, such as showing up first thing in the morning. If you come later, it's possible you may find all those comforts becoming too busy.
