Blue Hole Hill Park

Blue Hole Park is a popular hiking location for locals, eco-tourists, and nature lovers, all of whom find this exotic forest full of surprises. part of the even larger Walsingham Nature Reserve, Blue Hole Park is just part of the adventure.

The features at Blue Hill Park are pretty varied. In addition to the namesake blue swimming hole that is the centerpiece of the park, guests will also be able to hike a multitude of trails that range in scenery, length, and intensity. Additionally, there are several caves, both sunken and air. Whether you enjoy lush mangroves, shady canopies, or rocky stalagmites, Blue Hill Park will keep the active moving entertained.

Location

Located toward the southwestern outskirts of Castle Harbour, Blue Hole Hill Park happily welcomes vacationers rooming in this neighborhood or nearby. Regardless of whether or not you're staying in this location, you should feel free to stop by to enjoy a great time. It's 3.1 miles south west of St. George.

There are three main entrances to the park, all of which are easy to get to. Taking North Shore Road to Blue Hole Hill will be the most direct. Right before the bridge to the airport, simply turn right and you'll be in the park. Another options is taking Harrinton Sound Road to Walsingham Lane. The final options is between Blue Hole Hill and Walsingham Lane, on a road right of Wilkinson Avenue.

There are numerous dining options to select from in the community surrounding this nature preserve. The most nearby place to eat to Blue Hole Hill Park is Tom Moore's Tavern, which offers Continental fare. The eatery is a brief distance away, but far enough that you may decide to make arrangements for taking advantage of a means of transport to get there. Also within a short distance, you'll encounter options like Bailey's Bay Ice Cream Parlour and Tony's Fine Foods so with any luck, at least one of these close by options will humor the whole group.
