One of the most popular attractions on Bermuda is Crystal Caves, and even Mark Twain himself visited the natural site.

As you descend into the underground Crystal Cave, look to the roof, where you will notice breath taking white stalactites covered in crystallized soda straws. Then look to the bottom, where a crystal clear underground lake is present. Over 50 feet below the surface you can view rock formations, which gives you an idea of exactly how clear the water is.

Location

Located in Henrys Hill, in the vicinity of Castle Harbour, Crystal Caves is on the premises of Bailey's Bay, and happily welcomes local residents and tourists rooming in this village or an adjacent area. Regardless of whether or not you are staying very close, you should feel free to stop by to check it out. From this location, St. George is three miles (five kilometers) to the northeast.

You can reach Crystal Caves via bus routes 1, 2, 10, and 11 from Hamilton and St. George.

If you've worked up an appetite during your visit to the cave, don't worry -- you can find a wide variety of restaurants within traveling distance. Bailey's Bay Ice Cream Parlour is just about a couple hundred yards away from the cave, so stop by and try something off the menu. Also nearby, you and your group will have options including Tony's Fine Foods and Tom Moore's Tavern where you and your party will want to test out Continental dishes and experience the culture of Bermuda.
