As the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the world, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is an attraction worthy of your time. Whether you climb to the top to catch a view of the seaside or you stop in to the gift shop for a little history on the lighthouse, you are sure to learn a lot about the important role the lighthouse has played in the sailing history of Bermuda.

Exhibits and Offerings

Climb the 185 steps to the top of Gibb's Lighthouse and take in the panoramic view of Bermuda's coastline. After a $365 thousand renovation, the lighthouse has been restored to appear as close to the original structure as possible, plus the project included an upgrade of the observation deck, work on the grounds, and features to make the property more handicap accessible.

Gibbs Hill Lighthouse built of cast iron and is painted white. As guests approach the lighthouse they will notice that it is set next to a signal station once run by the British Army. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse stands 245 tall, with 117 feet spanning between the base of the structure and where the light it placed. The lighthouse's light provides a light that can be seen up to 40 miles away.

Visitors will find an on-site eatery allowing hungry guests to have a bite to eat as they enjoy their visit.
