After a $365 thousand renovation, the lighthouse has been restored to appear as close to the original structure as possible, plus the project included an upgrade of the observation deck, work on the grounds, and features to make the property more handicap accessible.

Gibbs Hill Lighthouse built of cast iron and is painted white. As guests approach the lighthouse they will notice that it is set next to a signal station once run by the British Army. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse stands 365 feet above sea level, making it the highest spot on Bermuda. It takes about 185 steps to get to the top. Luckily, they have made sure there are 6 platforms along the way from which adventurers can rest and take in the sights. The lighthouse's light can be seen up to 40 miles away.
