Mangrove Lake

The second largest lake on Bermuda next to Harrington Sound is Mangrove Lake. Because it is located close to the Atlantic Ocean, the waters are brackish.

Birding is a popular pastime here, with migratory birds stopping here regularly. This spot is also home to the largest population of the endemic Bermuda killifish.

Location

Mangrove Lake is situated on the eastern side of the island of Bermuda, near Castle Harbour; it's four miles (seven kilometers) to the south-southwest of St. George.

Mangrove Lake is located right on the boundary between Smith's Parish and Hamilton Parish. S Road, Sommersail Road, and Judson Lane surround the lake.

Nearby Restaurants

There are plenty of dining options to select from in the community around this body of water. Sul Verde, which has a menu full of Italian food, is very close-by, making it a great option for lake visitors. Sul Verde is only around three quarters of a mile from Mangrove Lake, so stop by and eat up! The Point Restaurant & Terrace and Sur Mer are some of the additional restaurant choices nearby.
