A full service equine facility offering everything from boarding and rider to training to trail rides and even summer camps for children, Spicelands Riding Center is the quintessential stable for all things horse riding and has been since they opened in 1968.
Riding lessons are available that focus not only on how to ride but the care and needs of horses as well. Trail rides are perhaps the most popular choice among tourists, and for the younger set, the offer pony rides. If you're visiting in the summer, you can sign your kids up for the daily summer camp. As far as trail rides, they offer five group and four private trail rides every day.
You can stop by for lessons or trail rides between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. six days a week.
From ages six and up, Spicelands can accommodate riders of all ability levels, and those younger than six will enjoy the pony rides. They do allow their horses to go in the water between November and March as local law permits, so if your tour takes you by the beach you can feel free to lead them through the surf.
They recommend that you wear long pants and sneakers, but riding helmets are mandatory and supplied by the staff. Spiceland restricts pregnant women and anyone over 225 pounds from riding.
