Blister Beach

Great snorkeling opportunities have been the trademark of this Blister Beach, although many would argue that the swimming and sunning is also top-notch. Located away from any metropolitan areas, you'll find fewer crowds here than on some other Bimini beaches, making it a favorite among locals.

Positioned near the heart of the island of North Bimini, Blister Beach is on the North edge of the island, You might want to drop by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Blister Beach stands out because it's perfect for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Many of the other beaches in the Bahamas may be just as breezy and refreshing, but are usually more cramped because they border some of the area's most popular resorts.

How to Access The Beach
A trail runs north from Spook Hill Beach through the mangroves and continues all the way to the northernmost point on the island. Whenever you find that special spot in the sun, step off the trail and into the sand.

Amenities and Ambiance

Blister Beach (also called Bimini Bay Beach) is situated on the far north end of Bimini. The waters off of these shores are so clear that on calm days you can spot all kinds of exotic fish cruising the gentle surf along this beach.

There is also a snack bar here. On some days, it may be possible to purchase food from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring along some gear if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life. Although you'll never have to fight for a spot in the sand, Blister Beach manages to draw a fair number of visitors, both locals and vacationers eager to escape the beaten path.

Blister Beach offers visitors a calm and peaceful environment, since the area surrounding the beach is not heavily urbanized.
