Tacky Falls

For a truly natural wonder, Tacky Falls is the secluded place to be. This hidden treasure is a mix of nature trail, swimming pool, and water park; it will not be a place you will soon forget, if you can manage to find it.

Tucked deep into the dense Jamaican forest, this this tall waterfall is surrounded by undeveloped land. You will have nearly ultimate privacy as you swim and explore. Just be careful, as the trails are steep and often wet, making it easy to trip and fall. Good shoes are requires that have superb traction. Also, do not expect any food vendors here, you will need to bring your own food, as well as chairs and a blanket if you are planning on having a picnic.


Located in the heart of Saint Mary Parish, 3.1 miles southeast of Port Maria, Tacky Falls happily welcomes tourists rooming in this part of Jamaica. Even if you are not staying nearby, you should think about stopping by to check it out. It is 15.8 miles east of Ocho Rios.

This waterfall requires a tour guide or someone who has visit the waterfall many times, as even many locals do not know where it is.
