Once a prominent town on Grand Cayman Islands, Bodden Town Guard House Park has always been held in high regard amongst locals, many of whom grew up hearing tales of how the people of Bodden Town stood guard over the island and were prepared to protect the area should something like a pirate attack occur. Evidence of this is in the two replica cannons on the grounds.
In 1994, many years after the town had fallen from prominence, it was made into a historical park that also houses a small museum detailing the history of the town.
Located inside a stone thatch building on park grounds is a museum featuring relics of Bodden Town. Gardens, donated by local businesses serve to beautify the park, and two replica canons on the grounds serve as a reminder that the people of Bodden Town were always there, ready and willing to protect their island.
Bodden Town Guardhouse Park is located in Bodden Town, so those staying in this part of the Cayman Islands will be excited to have easy site access during their time there. The area around this site remains relatively quiet, particularly since there is only a small number of lodgings nearby.
