When a wild donkey is reported as wounded or sick on the island, the sanctuary gets a call and takes the donkey in to heal them and give them a safe place to stay. The sanctuary invites guests to stop by and learn about wild donkeys, see how they are treated, and even get to interact with them.
Your first stop when you arrive at the Sanctuary will be at the shop where you can learn about the work they do there, as well as pick up a few souvenirs. From there, you can tour the park in your private vehicle or on foot. The donkeys are friendly and will come right up to your window for food which you can purchase at the gift shop. If you're traveling on foot, you can stop by the Special Care Meadow where the donkeys needing extra care can be found, or hang out in the garden where you can get drinks and snacks and keep an eye out for tortoises and iguanas.
