Since 1975, Best of Barbados has been supporting and promoting the handicrafts of local artists and crafts people. Surrounded by the bustle of the Accra Beach area on the south coast where both locals and visitors alike enjoy the fabulous beach, great shopping and lunch are possible here when things get too hot.
There's something special about a shop that deals exclusively in locally made products. At Best of Barbados you can get paintings, ceramics, clothing, stationary, jewelry, and foods all made by people who live on the island. Of special note, three generations of artists from within the family who own the shops have their works featured here as well.
Set on the southern part of St. Michael Parish, in the same general area as Bridgetown, Best of Barbados Quayside is on the premises of, and happily welcomes local residents and travelers exploring and browsing shops in this area of Barbados. However, even if you aren't staying in the vicinity, you are free to stop by. In case you're wondering, St. Lawrence Gap is to the east-southeast.

Aside from stores and shopping, there are plenty of interesting attractions that you might have fun visiting while you're in St. Michael Parish. If visiting a historical site is something you'll enjoy, allow yourself time to experience St. Michael's Cathedral. During the summer, this shop closes at 5:00 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m. throughout the week. During the in season, the shop is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays, but is closed on Sundays.
