Barbados Museum and Historical Society

The Barbados Museum is also home of the Barbados Historical Society and their joint mission is to preserve the history of the people of Barbados. The museum itself is steeped in history as the site used to be an old military prison. Much of the military history of the Caribbean can be explored through the artifacts in this museum. The Museum is open daily, with normal hours running from 9:00am to 5:00pm, except for Sunday when the hours are reduced to from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.
