Drill Hall Beach

Drill Hall Beach is a large beach area off the southwest coast of the island. A shallow reef directly offshore makes for great surfing, as it creates waves, though it isn't ideal for swimming. The expansive pink sand, numerous trees, and surrounding picnic tables make the area great for lounging and taking in the water sports.

Positioned on the outskirts of Bridgetown, three quarters of a mile south-southeast of the "downtown" area, Drill Hall Beach is on the South edge of Barbados. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. Travelers who love being in the middle of all the action and meeting new people will relish their time at Drill Hall Beach.

How to Access The Beach

The beach is accessible to both pedestrians and vehicles. Drivers should look for car park signs off of Highway 7. Those who prefer public transportation can utilize shuttles or taxis to get to the Barbados Hilton, which is within walking distance of the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Drill Hall Beach is fairly large and features pink sand and lush foliage. The beautiful blue sea is perfect for catching waves on a boogie or surf board, with the active waves created by the shallow reef located shortly off the coast. West of the beach is the famous Needhams Point, while the Garrison lies farther inland.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.

Since Drill Hall Beach will be found within a major tourist area, you'll want to plan accordingly.
