In 1751, many years before becoming the first president of the United States of America, George Washington spent two months on the island of Barbados. The George Washington House is where Washington stayed during that time. Any visitors from the U.S. won't want to miss a chance to tour Washington's vacation home.

The George Washington House offers a glimpse into how life was on Barbados is the mid-18th century, with each room recreated as to how it would have been during his stay.

The George Washington House is a large yellow Georgian-style building built in a T-configuration with green awnings at each of the many windows. It sits on a swatch of land with a gully to its north and it overlooks Carlisle Bay.
