Lord Nelson's Bronze Statue

A hero of Barbados, Admiral Lord Nelson successfully defended the island from the French invasion force, a feat that helped Barbados remain under British rule since the original colonization up until independence. To honor Lord Nelson, a statue was built in March of 1813 and now stands in from of the Barbados National Parliament.
