One popular destination is VI Maritime Museum. It can be found at and located within Tortola, the BVI. Set on the second floor of the Centre of Applied Marine Studies at H. Lavity Stoutt Community Collage, the VI Maritime Museum honors the rich boat building history of the British Virgin Islands.
Many travelers also choose to visit Old Government House Museum. It is located in Road Town, the BVI. Visited by many royal figures through time, this location once housed all important government functions and was a residence for the governor. The building deteriorated quickly in the tropical climate and was almost demolished.
1780 Lower Estate Sugar Works Museum: The 1780 Lower Estate Sugar Works was built by the McCleverly slaves over three centuries ago and the property continued to produce sugar, lime juice, and cotton until the 1940s.

One popular destination is Copper Mine Ruins. It is situated at Copper Mine National Park and found within Virgin Gorda, the BVI. Surrounding the ruin of the mine itself are granite rock outcroppings and quartz, tin copper, clay, and feldspar deposits. Also included here are the ruins of the housing area of the Cornish miners that kept the mine in operation.
A second choice is Little Fort Ruins. It's a historical site A small fort and wildlife sanctuary, this site is not exactly easy to access. Experienced hikers and those who are up for a challenge will be rewarded with the chance to explore a historic military compound and spot a number of unique plants.
Fort Recovery: Tourists are welcome to visit the fort, but are asked to do so with caution. Because the government has yet to excavate the land, there could be unknown hazards.
