Delaporte Beach

For being just next door over from one of the most popular beaches in all of the Bahamas, Delaporte Beach is surprisingly quiet. However, no frequent visitor of this beach is going to complain about the pristine peace and quiet. With lush soft sand and gentle small waves, Delaporte Beach is nothing short of a slice of paradise on Earth. For anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in paradise for a while, this beach is waiting for you.

Located toward the western outskirts of Cable Beach, Delaporte Beach is on the North edge of New Providence. You might want to drop by even if you are not staying particularly close by. While the Bahamas has beaches that are more secluded than Delaporte Beach, it offers just enough privacy to attract vacationers.

How to Access The Beach
Delaporte Beach is easily accessible by West Bay Road. From Downtown Nassau, after you pass Cable Beach and make the curve left, you will see the beach almost immediately on your right. If you run into the Cave Beaches, that should indicate that you've gone too far.

Amenities and Ambiance

Delaporte Beach, despite being empty, is the perfect tropical beach. With soft white sand, blue ocean waves, and a wonderful sunset view to the West, there is not much more one could ask. Just remember to bring a blanket and your own food, there are no amenities here.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Since Delaporte Beach is of course found inside a major tourist area, many try to show up early.
