For anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in paradise for a while, this beach is waiting for you.
Located in the western outskirts of Cable Beach, Delaporte Beach is on the North edge of New Providence. You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. Those of you who might prefer a beach that's a little less crowded, but still fun and active, should pay a visit to Delaporte Beach. It's just slightly removed from the center of it all, but it's not totally secluded either.
Delaporte Beach is easily accessible by West Bay Road. From Downtown Nassau, after you pass Cable Beach and make the curve left, you will see the beach almost immediately on your right. If you run into the Cave Beaches, that should indicate that you've gone too far.
Delaporte Beach, despite being empty, is the perfect tropical beach. With soft white sand, blue ocean waves, and a wonderful sunset view to the West, there is not much more one could ask. Just remember to bring a blanket and your own food, there are no amenities here.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.
