A town that appeals to tourists looking for a less tourist-y destination, Cabrera still has plenty to keep visitors busy.  It is the natural attractions that stand out the most because the surrounding area is such an eco-friendly destination, with a national park, city park, and several beaches for travelers to look forward to.

Playa Rio San Juan

There are an abundance of beaches to enjoy in and around the area. You can click on the beach names for a detailed review of that particular stretch of sand.

If you want to go snorkeling, a place providing that option is Orchid Bay Beach. With nothing to see but the rocky cliffs to the side, and the sloping coast behind you, looking out into the shimmering sea and feeling the warm sand is the gift that this tropical paradise has to offer visitors. It is small however, and several groups can easily start making the beach crowded.

Another alternative worth considering is El Calento de Dario Beach. A log dirt road off Highway 5 leads to the sands of El Calento de Dario.

El Breton: El Breton is a half-moon shaped bay dug out into the northeast side of the island. The sand is dark tan and lined with trees.

Cabrera and the surrounding areas have plenty of additional beaches. Visit this page if you're interested in learning some more information.
