El Calento de Dario Beach

El Calento de Dario Beach is one of the Dominican Republic's quieter beaches. Typically, only guests of the nearby resorts spend their days on the beach, so fighting crowds to find a spot in the sand is rarely an issue.

Positioned in the Eastern side of the Dominican Republic, 1.0 mile southeast of Cabrera, El Calento de Dario Beach is on the North edge of Hispaniola. You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying particularly close by. There are plenty of advantages to visiting a beach that isn't lined with high-rise hotels; relatively untouched parts of the coast like El Calento de Dario Beach let you escape people-watchers and rowdy beachgoers.

How to Access The Beach

A log dirt road off Highway 5 leads to the sands of El Calento de Dario.

Amenities and Ambiance

El Calento de Dario Beach curves outwards into the water. The white sands are lined to coconut palms, and just behind them through the trees are several resort properties who have chosen this location for the beautiful view of the aqua colored waters.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.

If you find that you choose beach days that provide an angelic experience, then you may want to try El Calento de Dario Beach; it's back within a less urban sector of the region.
